Philanthropic Mission:

Gamma Phi Beta has a philanthropic focus of Building Strong Girls. As advocates for women, our organization envisions a community where every girl and woman has the skills to succeed in life. In order to build strong girls the Zeta Chi chapter of Gamma Phi Beta partners with Camp Fire First Texas and Girls on the Run DFW. Camp Fire provides opportunities for children and youth by allowing them to realize their full potential in life. Girls on the Run is a volunteer-led program that weaves training for a 5K run with fun, experience-based lessons that improve self-awareness, build a collection of positive experiences, and inspire life-changing confidence through accomplishment. This organization’s programming inspires self-respect and healthy lifestyles in girls, and their core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development. Through on-campus philanthropy events, Zeta Chi raises money to donate to these organizations and provides volunteers to help with their yearly events. Zeta Chi follows the International Gamma Phi Beta Foundation who also donates to Camp Fire and Girls on the Run nationally.

Every fall, Zeta Chi hosts our annual Crescent Classic Moonball, sand volleyball tournament, to raise money for our philanthropy. All other organizations on TCU's campus are invited to join us in helping us raise money to build strong girls. Teams are asked to perform a cheer about our philanthropy as well as compete for the champion of the sand volleyball court.

Gamma Phi Bake Sale is a dead days study break where students, faculty, and staff can come and hang out while taking a break from studying. Picture this: endless desserts, music, games, and lots of dogs. And always remember, stressed is desserts spelled backwards.
